Microsoft study finds that more than twice (65%) people in India use AI than the global average. Reflecting the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) by the people of India, this survey by Microsoft found that 65% of the Indians who participated in it have used AI.
Microsoft on Tuesday released the Global Online Safety Survey, which studies the growing impact of artificial intelligence. The report is based on a survey of 15,000 teenagers (13-17) and adults in 15 countries between July 19 and August 9, 2024. 65% of respondents to the survey have used artificial intelligence (+26%). This is more than double the global average of 31% during the same period.
India is the country with the highest use of AI in translation, answering questions, increasing efficiency in the workplace and helping students with school homework. Millennials (25-44 years old) are the most likely group (84%) to be aware of the need to raise their children's digital awareness.
The survey also highlights concerns about online abuse, deepfakes, fraud and overuse of artificial intelligence. Online abuse is one of the main concerns regarding artificial intelligence. The report also said that more than 80 percent are concerned about the use of artificial intelligence by children under the age of 18. More than 80 percent of Indian teenagers also said they have experienced online risks.
