The Namo Drone Didi scheme was launched on November 30, 2024. The Namo Drone Didi scheme aims to help women-led self-help groups (SHGs) by providing drone technology on rent to women farmers for agricultural purposes such as application of liquid fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture. The scheme is being implemented in collaboration with the Department of Farmers Welfare, Department of Rural Development, Department of Fertilizers, Lead Fertilizer Companies etc.

The Namo Drone Didi scheme is a scheme aimed at the modernization of women farmers in India. Launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the project aims to use drone technology in agriculture to provide economic independence to women.

At the central level, the Namo Didi scheme is administered by an Empowered Committee of Secretaries of the Department of Rural Development, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Department of Fertilizers and Ministry of Women and Child Development.
Benefits 80% of the drone price will be funded by the Centre. Women self-help groups will be given a package of Rs 8 lakh to buy drones
