From Shah Rukh Khan to Mohanlal, here are the highest tax-paying film stars in India

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has topped the list of celebrity taxpayers by paying an advance tax of Rs 92 crore for the financial year 2023-24. Tamil actor Vijay ranks second in Fortune India's list of 'The Star Cast' of taxable films

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is at the third spot and Amitabh Bachchan is at the fourth spot. Cricketer Virat Kohli has become the biggest taxpayer in Indian cricket by paying Rs 66 crore in taxes for the financial year 2023-24.

While Vijay paid Rs 80 crore as advance tax, Salman Khan paid Rs 75 crore and Amitabh Bachchan paid Rs 71 crore.

Ajay Devgn (Rs 42 crore), Ranbir Kapoor (Rs 36 crore), Hrithik Roshan (Rs 28 crore), Kapil Sharma (Rs 26 crore), Kareena Kapoor (Rs 20 crore) and Shahid Kapoor (Rs 14 crore) are the other big names in the list.

While Mohanlal and Allu Arjun paid Rs 14 crore each, Kiara Advani paid Rs 12 crore. Katrina Kaif and Pankaj Tripathi paid Rs 11 crore each and Aamir Khan paid Rs 10 crore for the financial year 2023-24.

In the world of cricket, MS Dhoni paid Rs 38 crore, Sachin Tendulkar paid Rs 28 crore and Sourav Ganguly paid Rs 23 crore as advance tax. Hardik Pandya was fined Rs 13 crore and Rishabh Pant was fined Rs 10 crore
