AppsForBharat
Launched in 2020 under the leadership of Prashant Sachan, AppsForBharat is a start-up formed with the aim of making the spiritual journeys of devotees easier.
With this app, users can create a virtual temple on their phone, perform puja, light a lamp and offer flowers. The app provides access to more than 50 temples. From there, it is possible to attend pujas, listen to devotional songs and make donations from home.
Astrotalk
Founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta and Anmol Jain, AstroTalk is one of the leading astrology startups in the Indian spiritual market. More than 15,000 astrologers have been added to the platform, providing services to 4 crore users.
AstroTalk is on its way to the global market. The new spiritual e-commerce business line has been announced but its name has not been revealed yet. In the financial year 2023-24, the profit of the start-up has increased from INR 27 crore to 94 crore.
DevDham
Devdham, founded in 2020 by Pranav Kapoor, Suyash Taneja and Sagnika Chaudhary, is a spiritual tech platform that enables live darshans, online pujas and digital donations for devotees.
InstaAstro
More than 5000 astrologers have been added to the platform, serving 5 million users so far. This is another major start-up in the Indian astrology tech sector.
Founded by Nitin Verma in 2021, InstaAstro provides astrology result prediction, live chat / call sessions, and tarot card reading.
The Japam
Founded by Ritoban Chakraborty in 2022, Japam is one of India's fastest-growing D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) start-ups. This is an e-commerce marketplace that sells spiritual jewellery.
Initially, Japam also sold a few Rudraksha garlands through his website. Today, its product line also includes gold-colored bracelets, garlands, idols, and religious sword hangings.
The Meluha
Meluha is another new venture in the Astrotech space.
It is an astrology platform that provides guidelines based on personal birth information (such as date, time and place of birth).
With a presence in more than 110 countries, Meluha was founded in 2022 by Vikram Labhe and Bahal Chandra Patil. The startup recently acquired Muni Talks (a start-up that provides language translation and astrology guidance) in a secret deal.
Temple Connect
The aim of Temple Connect is to bring the traveller and the places of pilgrimage closer.
It enables users to interact with Global Hindu Temples and provides an option called e-Pujan.

The startup, based in Kolkata, has 1 lakh active users and maintains ties with more than 10,000 religious communities. The app was founded in 2021 by Surajit Basu, Prajapati Samanta, and Ankita Dey.

WAMA provides a range of digital services to bridge the gap between spirituality and technology. These include e-pujas, e-darshans, astrological services and spiritual blogs.
Founded in 2020 by Acharya Dev, Himanshu Semwal and Manu Jain, WAMA has partnered with more than 250 temples. It also has a network of more than 300 astrologers.
