French sports brand Decathlon is all set to expand its business in India. The plan is to open 10 new stores every year in India, as announced by retail division chief-Steve Dykes at an event in Paris. Along with this, the company also launched a new logo called 'Orbit'.

Today 60% Decathlon products sold in Indian markets are manufactured in India. The aim is to increase this to 90 to 95 percent, and the effort is to bring India, which is among the top 10 markets of decathlon, to the top 5. According to Dykes, India is currently on the right track and can expect to be among the top 5 in the next five years. Today the company has 122 stores across 19 states.

With many people opting for sports as their career, the demand for sports materials in India is also increasing.
