Apple is reportedly planning to start manufacturing the iPhone 17 in India. Apple wants to reduce the import of iPhones from China and expand the manufacturing of iPhones in India. According to The Information newspaper, Apple is collaborating with an Indian factory for this manufacturing work.

This Indian unit is handling the process of converting the iPhone 17 prototype into a mass-production model. This is the first time an Indian iPhone manufacturing unit is being sent to another country. In addition, the report states that the initial production of the standard model of the iPhone 17 will begin in India in the second half of 2025.

This time, the iPhone variant is expected to come with major improvements in processing power as well. According to the report, in the month of September, Apple started the full production of the latest iPhone 16 in India and decided to increase the number of employees.
