Hiring, a Chennai startup that has built human-like AI for online interviews

Hiring, a Chennai-based AI recruitment startup, has developed the first AI interviewer that automates online interviews. The AI interviewer acts as a recruiter by asking questions, recording, evaluating and assigning scores based on the performance of candidates.

Called the 'Hiring AI Screener', the AI model works on the same model as HR recruiters participating in online interviews. This AI can recommend the best four to five candidates to move on to the next round of recruitment. They can also detect if candidates are cheating.

Adityan RK, Founder and CEO at Hiring explained, “Existing software does not interview a candidate or evaluate their performance in a live video interview, our AI screener does.”

During the Covid-19 pandemic Adityan came up with the idea of developing a human-like AI screener when many companies faced problems with recruitment.
Hiring plans to enter the manufacturing sector and aims to sell the AI Screener to 150 clients in India and the US. They also intend to develop a fully automated product covering sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

While tech startups like Sapia and Babblebot have built AI software for video interviews, Adityan points out that what differentiates hiring is AI's ability to assess a candidate rather than simply record an interview.

"Our next target is to enter the manufacturing sector with the aim of selling the AI Screener to 150 customers in India and the US." Aditya commented.

Adityan also said Hiring plans to develop a fully automated product including sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding.
