Mumbai-based audio platform Cook FM's revenue has more than doubled. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, Mumbai-headquartered Cook FM posted a revenue growth of over 100 per cent. The start-up reported an operating income of Rs 88 crore. This is an increase of 114% as compared to last year's Rs. 41.1 crore.
Cook FM earns revenue by charging a fee from customers for audio content on the platform. Cook FM claims that it has more than 2.5 million paid users. Its total income, including other income, stood at Rs. 104.1 crore in FY24. This is a more than two-fold increase compared to Rs. 48.8 crore in the previous financial year.
Cook FM was founded in 2018 by Lalchand Bisu, Vikas Goyal and Vinod Kumar Meena. Audiobooks are provided in various categories such as economics, education, entertainment, news, mythology, spirituality, and inspiration.
The company has also reduced its losses in the current financial year. In FY24, the company's total loss was Rs 96 crore. This is a decrease of 18% as compared to Rs. 116.5 crore in the previous financial year.
