OpenAI CEO Sam Altman praises Cradlewise crib

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently posted on social media platform X, praising Indian startup Cradlewise. He praised the smart crib designed by Bengaluru-based entrepreneur Radhika Patil and her husband Bharat, saying it was one of the few baby products that he and his partner had found useful. He said the crib, which he bought for $1,999, comes highly recommended.

In response to the praise, Radhika Patil expressed her gratitude by re-sharing Altman’s post. The public recognition from one of the most influential figures in technology has boosted Cradlewise’s visibility and credibility globally.

Founded in 2016, Cradlewise offers technology-based cribs for babies and parents. Initially launched in Bengaluru, the smart crib was later introduced there when the couple moved to the US with their two children during the pandemic. The crib has a built-in monitor and also has the ability to play music, and gently bounces when the baby moves - helping to calm them down before they start crying. Priced at around $1,999 in the US and ₹1.5 lakh in India, it adapts as the baby grows, converting from a bassinet to a toddler crib, making it a long-term sleep companion for babies up to two years old.
