HEX20, a startup in Technopark, is set to join SpaceX's Transporter-13 mission in February 2025. Their first satellite was named 'Nila'. With this, HEX20, the first start-up in Kerala to collaborate with SpaceX, is getting ready to launch its first satellite.
'Nila ', named after the Nila River, which inspired the state, and the Technopark Building, where HEX20 is located, is becoming the pride of Malayalees.
For satellite control, a HEX20 ground station is being set up at the Marian Engineering College in Thiruvananthapuram and talented people are being trained in modern technology. For this, MoUs have been signed with leading educational institutions to collaborate in the development of HEX20 advanced satellite. The activities of HEX20 will further strengthen Kerala's space sector.
Working with ISRO, KSUM and IN-SPACe, HEX20 plans to launch a 50 kg satellite using ISRO's PSLV by the end of 2025.
