The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited have signed an agreement to set up an incubator to support manufacturing start-ups in Gujarat. The startup incubator is planned to be established in Kadi, Gujarat.
Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning’s support of these start-ups will help foster innovation and boost the country's manufacturing industry.
The incubator aims to provide a strong platform for startups focusing on selected manufacturing areas such as technological advancements, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
The MoU was signed last Tuesday (1/10/2024) under the leadership of DPIIT Director Sumeet Jarankal, and Sanjay Sudhakaran, Managing Director for India & South Asia Region, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited.
Sumeet Jarankal also stated that the Government of India is committed to boosting the manufacturing sector through initiatives like Make in India and the Production-Linked Incentive Scheme.
