Kolkata-based fast-food chain Wow! Momo is aiming to surpass INR 600 crore in revenue for the financial year 2024-25 (FY25).
In the financial year 2023-24 (FY24), Wow! Momo achieved a revenue of INR 475 crore, marking a 14% growth compared to INR 416 crore in the previous year. Now, the company is targeting a revenue of INR 650 crore in FY25, which represents a 37% increase from the previous fiscal year.
To expand its business and boost revenue, Wow! Momo plans to add 350 new outlets within the next 18 months. Additionally, the company intends to expand its frozen food business. Currently, Wow! Momo operates 650 outlets.
Founded in 2008 by Binod Kumar Homagai, Sagar Daryani, and Shah Miftaur Rahman, Wow! Momo operates fast-food brands such as Wow! Chicken, Wow! Kulfi, and Wow! China. It also sells frozen food products under its FMCG segment. The 16-year-old company competes with players like Rebel Foods, Curefoods, and EatClub in the restaurant and cloud kitchen sectors.
Wow! Momo currently relies heavily on food delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy. However, the company plans to launch its own delivery app, Wow! Eats, as early as next year.
Furthermore, Wow! Momo is set to enter the biryani market, aiming to compete with brands such as Behrouz Biryani (Rebel Foods), Itminaan Biryani (Box8), and Biryani by Kilo. Leveraging its network of quick-service restaurants, the company plans to establish a strong presence in the biryani market.
