The company plans to use the funds to strengthen its presence in existing markets including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu and expand into other South Indian states such as Karnataka and Kerala.
Founded in 2015 by Vanapala, Way2News provides short, hyperlocal news collected from citizen journalists and stringer reporters along with national and international news. Way2News provides live news in eight languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati, with the company leveraging advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence.
