Where to complain about CIBIL SCORE?

If you want to take a loan, even if it is small, there is no escape without Sibil Kanya. When you go to the bank to take a loan because of necessity, you know that you do not have a score even though you have paid the current loan correctly. Banks will throw up their hands if asked for a reason. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has received 796 complaints against Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited (CIBIL) between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023 through the offices of the RBI Integrated Ombudsman. According to the RBI report, these are the highest complaints against credit bureaus.

The number of complaints received under the Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme (RB-IOS) increased by 68.24 per cent to 703,544 in 2022-23, according to the RBI's annual report. Most of the complaints were related to loans, advances and credit cards.

How to file a complaint?

To file complaint online, individuals can visit this website https://cms.rbi.org.in. Alternatively, complaints can be registered by email at CRPC@rbi.org.in or by calling the toll-free number 14448. Those who prefer the traditional method can also submit complaints by filling and sending a form. Through this, consumers can bring to the notice of the Reserve Bank any errors or problems on the part of credit bureaus.

**It is advisable to check the Cibil score from time to time to know if any type of loan is taken without your knowledge and it defaults. Now it is possible to check Cibil score on platforms like Google Pay.
