India's tractor queen built a 10,000 crore business

He was able to grow his company into the third largest tractor manufacturer in the world. Today Mallika is the ruler of a Rs 10,000 crore empire. Mallika Srinivasan is the wife of Indian billionaire Venu Srinivasan. Currently, she is the Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited.

Born in 1959, Mallika Srinivasan was brilliant in studies. Graduated from Madras University. He then received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Then, in 1986, Mallika joined the family business founded by late renowned businessman S Anantharamakrishnan. Anantharamakrishnan is known as 'Detroit of India'.

Today, 64-year-old Mallika is one of the few women entrepreneurs at the helm of a multi-crore construction empire. Mallika has also won the Padma Shri award for the technological transformation and growth implemented in the company. Under his stewardship, Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd. rose to become the third largest tractor manufacturer in the world.

Mallika Srinivasan has also served on the boards of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai, Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, AGCO, Tata Steel and Tata Global Beverages. She recently stepped down as an independent director on the board of Swiggy.
