BSNL launches new plans for JioPhone users

Reports have emerged that lakhs of users have been ported to the public sector telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited due to the unexpected hike in tariffs by private telecom companies. In addition, the government's promises to become 5G soon by providing 4G services also make this public sector enterprise the center of attention.

But Reliance is of the view that the rate hike has had a negative impact. Jio is trying to woo back customers with new plans and rollback of tariff hikes. At the same time, BSNL is taking advantage of this opportunity. Both companies are trying to attract customers with new plans.

New BSNL plans

BSNL is offering unlimited voice calls and data. The company's revised Rs 997 plan has a validity of 160 days. The total data offered is 320 GB. You also get 2GB of daily high-speed data and 100 free SMS per day.

Customers get unlimited voice calls to any network in the country. The plan also offers a number of value-added services such as free roaming, Sing Music, and BSNL Tunes across India. The company has already started testing the 5G network.

Reliance Jio's new plans

Jio has introduced a Rs 249 prepaid plan. This has a 28-day validity. It offers 1 GB data per day. Unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. Jio's main rival Airtel also has a plan with the same value, but with a validity of 24 days. This means 24GB data for the entire duration.
