Swiggy’s quick commerce division, Swiggy Instamart, is reportedly partnering with PharmEasy to deliver prescription medicines within 10 minutes. However,
Swiggy has not yet made an official announcement.
Currently, Instamart delivers over-the-counter (OTC) medications such as pain relief sprays.
Through this new partnership, Swiggy aims to further expand into the e-pharmacy market, catering to consumers who need quick access to essential medicines.
Reports suggest that the service will initially be launched in Bengaluru, focusing on delivering prescription medicines such as pain relievers and fever medications.
As part of this partnership, Swiggy and PharmEasy will adopt a “shop-in-shop” model, where PharmEasy stores will operate within Swiggy’s facilities. This will enable Swiggy to deliver medicines quickly and efficiently to consumers. This partnership positions Swiggy Instamart in direct competition with other quick commerce companies like Blinkit, Zepto, and BigBasket. By offering faster delivery times, both companies aim to capture a larger share of the market.
