PaySense co-founder and former PayU Credit CEO Prashanth Ranganathan’s fintech startup, Zinc, has raised approximately INR 214 crore (USD 25.5 million) in a seed funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners.
With this, the company has emerged from its stealth mode and is gearing up to advance to new heights. The startup announced that it plans to use this funding for product development, scaling AI tools, and expanding its services.
“Our initiative aims to provide services that help Indian parents invest confidently in their children’s education while reducing the financial pressures associated with overseas education,” said Zinc founder and CEO, Ranganathan.
Founded in 2023 by Ranganathan, Zinc claims to be an edu-wealth startup. It aims to guide Indian students aspiring to study abroad while becoming a “full-stack cross-border financial services platform” that offers Indian families comprehensive solutions to address the complexities of overseas education
