Apple plans to ramp up iPhone production in India

Apple to go global by 2026-27
Reports suggest that 32% of iPhone production is likely to be made in India. Business Standard reports that 32% of Apple's global production
26% of the value is expected to come from India.

Discussions to assemble the devices in India were held between Apple, suppliers, the central government and state governments.

For the first half of FY25, Apple suppliers estimate production worth $9 billion (about ₹75,000 crore). By the end of the financial year, India is expected to account for 17-18% of global production and 14% of value added.

In FY24, 12-14% of global production was shifted to India, contributing 10% of production value. For FY25, Apple suppliers forecast a production value of $18 billion (about ₹1,50,000 crore).
