Artificial intelligence startup Anthropik has received another $4 billion investment from Amazon. With this, the total investment of this commerce giant has reached $8 billion. This is evidence that generative AI investments by big tech companies are growing.
Amazon will remain a minority shareholder, the company said. Amazon's AWS unit will be the official cloud service provider for Anthropik. The company said it is working with AWS's Annapurna Labs on the development of the anthropic trinium chips. The Anthropic project was announced to train basic models on this device.
Founded by Dario Andi and Daniela Amodei, former OpenAI executives and siblings, Anthropik received a $500 million investment from Alphabet last year.
