Agilatas was founded in 2023 by former Puma executives Abhishek Ganguly, Atul Bajaj and Amit Prabhu. The Bengaluru-based startup aims to manage the entire process of manufacturing and selling sports shoes. So far, it has raised Rs 537 crore from investors like Convergent Finance, Nexus Venture Partners and Spring Marketing Capital. Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh is also an investor. The company made a big move by buying Mochico Shoes, a leading sports shoe manufacturer in India that works with brands like Adidas and Reebok. In 2024, Agilatas also got a 40-year license to design, manufacture and sell Italian brand Lotto in India, Australia and South Africa.

The investment is part of Kohli's growing interest in startups. He has invested in several companies in the fitness, food, tech and fashion sectors. These include Rage Coffee, Blue Tribe (with Anushka Sharma), Chisel Fitness, Digit Insurance and fashion brand Universal Sportsbiz. He also has a stake in FC Goa, and has invested in the Mobile Premier League and wellness brand Hyperise.
