Goa has been recognised for its outstanding performance in the Startup Ecosystem Ranking of States (Category B), making it to the list of states that are best at building a strong and supportive startup ecosystem in India. The ranking assesses states on criteria such as startup-friendly policies, infrastructure, access to funding, institutional support and innovation outcomes.

The recognition was announced during the National Startup Day celebrations at Bharat Mandapam, where officials received a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Goa government. The national framework is considered one of the most comprehensive assessments of startup ecosystems across states and union territories.

The achievement reflects Goa’s consistent efforts to foster entrepreneurship through progressive policies and collaboration with industry and academia. This reinforces the state's growing reputation as a thriving, innovation-driven startup hub focused on long-term economic growth and opportunity creation.
