Foxconn has started small-scale production of Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 at a new plant in Bengaluru, in addition to its plant in Chennai. The move comes as it plans to expand iPhone manufacturing capacity in India and double production this year.

The Bengaluru factory, built on 300 acres of land near the airport, is Foxconn's second-largest plant after its main plant in China. The plant, designed to produce up to 20 million smartphones annually, began operations last year with an investment of about ₹25,000 crore. Foxconn is also eyeing further expansion by setting up a new plant in Greater Noida.
