Kerala-based KiranaPro has joined hands with ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) to ensure the fastest delivery service in India. With this, KiranaPro has become India's first ONDC-powered quick commerce company. The company claims that this will enable the delivery of products very quickly.
ONDC
ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) is a government-led initiative. Here, various e-commerce platforms are available under a single umbrella. It is a digital platform that connects digital commerce platforms and customers at one place. This enables customers to compare prices online and buy products quickly and affordably.
Through this integration, millions of kirana store owners across the country can be connected to their customers and is the best way to build a common digital infrastructure for inclusive and equitable e-commerce, says KiranaPro's official release.
The ONDC-integration will enable KiranaPro to source products from over seven lakh registered merchants across India, enabling rapid expansion and creating new opportunities for small retailers.
"KiranaPro's hyperlocal model connects grocery stores in their vicinity directly to consumers. This ensures a wide and diverse range of products and ensures trust, community engagement and economic stability for small traders. "Being directly integrated into the nationwide ONDC network helps us rapidly expand our operations to lakhs of kirana stores across various states," says Deepak Raveendran, Co-Founder and CEO, KiranaPro
