Centuriotech, a Thiruvananthapuram-based startup, has launched Maveli.ai, an AI chatbot that lets you talk to Kerala’s legendary king Mahabali anytime. Users can chat in Malayalam, English and Manglish, but the replies will always be in Malayalam. The chatbot shares facts about Onam and mental health tips.

Centuriotech was founded in 2024 by Ajisha Bhasi, who studied at the University of Kerala and previously worked on a product for children with special needs. The startup, which builds AI-powered platforms and apps, has grown to a team of 12 with support from the Kerala Startup Mission.

Maveli.ai was launched as a fun experiment during Onam, but it has received a huge response, Ajisha said. She added that the chatbot offers light-hearted and homely conversations, allowing people to share their thoughts with "Mavelli" without sending them back to the underworld.
