LansInstitut is a startup launched in 2022 by four youths from Kozhikode who went to Delhi University to study languages. It is a startup that challenges the tech-centric stereotype of entrepreneurship. LansInstitut prepares Indian healthcare professionals for international jobs by offering foreign language training, certification support, and cultural orientation.
Primarily targeting countries like Germany, the US, Japan, Italy, and the GCC, the startup focuses heavily on German language training, which is what 95% of participants choose. This is crucial as Germany alone is expected to face a shortage of over 700,000 nurses by 2030.
Recently selected for Germany’s prestigious “Business with Germany” program, LansInstitut offers eight-month courses (costing up to ₹70,000) both online and offline. Founded by Yasin Bin Saleem (CMO), Murshid Ibnu Rahman (CBO), Khubaib Abdul Salam (CEO), and Abdul Wajid (CHRO), the startup now has offices in Bengaluru, Kochi, and Kozhikode and employs around 90 people.
Their initiative was inspired by the healthcare workforce crisis seen in European countries, where language skills were a major barrier for job seekers.
