Sarvam has launched its new AI chat app 'Indus' for web and mobile platforms targeting Indian consumers. Currently available only in India, the app allows users to ask questions through voice or letters and get answers in text or audio.
The beta version of the app is currently running on the company's 105 billion large language model. It currently has some technical limitations, such as not being able to delete only the chat history without completely deleting the account, and not being able to turn off the reasoning feature, which takes a little longer to get a reply. However, the company aims to gradually bring the app to more people.
This new app has been introduced as part of India's development of its own AI technologies to replace foreign AI models. Founded in 2023, this startup has so far raised $41 million in investment.
