Businesses can publish these updates manually or automatically connect from linked Instagram, Facebook, or X accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s Happening\u201d is more than a feature. It represents a shift in the way local businesses communicate with customers searching for nearby restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until now, a business\u2019s Google Profile has been mostly static, listing only basic information like hours of operation, location, and user reviews. These are helpful, but lack interaction. This new feature overcomes that limitation, allowing businesses to display small, current updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A user searching for \u201ccafes near me\u201d can now find current offers like \u201cOpen Mic Tonight at 6\u201d or \u201cBuy One, Get One\u201d instead of the usual text-heavy profile. Businesses can access Whats Happening through their existing Google Business Profile dashboard.
