The advance tax deadlines for the financial year 2024-25 are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First Quarter June - 15, 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second Quarter - September 15, 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Third Quarter - December 15, 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fourth Quarter - March 15, 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Salaried employees and those who have TDS deducted cannot make advance tax payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Income Tax Return Filing (ITR Filing) Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ITR filing deadlines for the financial year 2024-25:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Individuals &amp; HUF (non-audited) - July 31, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individuals &amp; HUF (audited) - September 30, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Companies &amp; Firms (audited) - October 31, 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TDS\/TCS Return Filing Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadline for filing TDS\/TCS returns:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Q1 (April-June) - July 31, 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Q2 (July-September) - October 31, 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Q3 (October-December) - January 31, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Q4 (January-March) - May 31, 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Penalties for missing the deadline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delay in payment of advance tax<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Section 234B: In case of non-payment of advance tax or underpayment, a penalty of 1% interest will be charged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Section 234C: In case of delay in payment of quarterly advance tax, a penalty of 1% will be charged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In case of delay in filing ITR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Section 234A: In case of filing after the deadline, interest of 1% per month will be applicable (based on the total tax amount).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Late fee: Those who file ITR after the deadline may be charged a late fee of \u20b95,000 (up to December 31) or \u20b910,000 (after December 31). However, for those with annual income less than \u20b95 lakh, a penalty of only \u20b91,000 will be charged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delay in filing TDS\/TCS return<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Section 234E: Penalty of \u20b9200 for each day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Section 271H: Penalty of \u20b910,000 to \u20b91 lakh for failure to file TDS return within a year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to avoid penalties?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keep a close eye on all deadlines.
