Flipkart's official explanation is that this cut, which is 3-4 percent of the total workforce, is part of the company's annual performance review. The company has already started discussions with leading investment bankers such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley for the IPO, which is expected to be in late 2026 or early 2027. Ahead of this, Flipkart has also received approval to shift the company's headquarters from Singapore to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with job cuts, the company aims to streamline business operations. As part of this, the company recently withdrew investments in Flying Machine and Shadowfax. Meanwhile, the company has decided to expand its quick commerce service 'Flipkart Minutes' to more cities. Flipkart plans to increase the number of dark stores to 1,000 by the first quarter of 2026 and soon launch a new food delivery app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has shown good financial performance during this period. Flipkart's revenue increased by 14.4 percent to Rs 20,493 crore in the last financial year (FY25). It was Rs 17,907 crore in the previous year. In addition, the company's net loss has decreased by 37 percent to Rs 1,494 crore from Rs 2,359 crore in the previous year.
