Coconut Vendor and Quick Commerce Companies Face Off – A Unique Scene in Bengaluru

The quick commerce sector in India is growing rapidly. However, with the fast delivery and attractive offers, many retail stores and roadside vendors are significantly impacted by the rise of quick commerce. As quick commerce expands rapidly in cities, several local stores have been forced to shut down.

In Bengaluru, a unique clash between leading quick commerce platforms and roadside vendors is currently being discussed on social media. A coconut vendor displayed a board at his roadside stall offering coconuts for "only Rs 55," comparing his prices to the higher rates of platforms like Zepto, BlinkIt (owned by Zomato), and BigBasket.

The post, which included a photo, was first shared by an X (formerly Twitter) user named 'Nitish Ravella.' The post stated, "Do what you love, because life is 10% what happens to us, and 90% how we react to it." Later, the page 'peakbengaluru' shared the post, sparking a lively discussion.
