Mumbai-based audio platform Kuku FM has recorded more than double the growth in its revenue. For the financial year ending March 31, 2024, Kuku FM achieved an impressive revenue increase of over 100%. The startup reported an operating revenue of INR 88 crore, marking a 114% growth compared to INR 41.1 crore in the previous year.

Kuku FM generates revenue by charging users for the audio content on its platform, with the company boasting over 2.5 million paid subscribers. Including other income sources, its total revenue for FY24 reached INR 104.1 crore, almost twice the INR 48.8 crore reported in the previous financial year.

Founded in 2018 by Lal Chand Bisu, Vikas Goyal, and Vinod Kumar Meena, Kuku FM offers audiobooks across various genres including finance, education, entertainment, news, mythology, spirituality, and inspiration.

This financial year, the company also managed to reduce its losses. In FY24, Kuku FM’s total loss stood at INR 96 crore, showing an 18% decrease compared to the INR 116.5 crore loss in the previous fiscal year.
