In today’s world, where e-commerce entrepreneurs often achieve multi-million-dollar valuations, Dr. Sanjeev Juneja, driven by a vision to develop Ayurvedic products, has built a remarkable enterprise. Starting from a small office, Dr. Juneja, now 38 years old, founded his company, which launched in 2008 and has since expanded into two successful ventures: Divisa Herbal Care and SBS Biotech Unit II.
Initially unknown, Juneja’s brand created one of the biggest deals in the FMCG sector when his Ayurvedic hair oil brand, Kesh King, was sold to Emami for ₹1,651 crore, a value five times its annual sales.
This success didn’t come easily for Juneja. The first two years were challenging as he worked tirelessly to distribute his product in shops and engage directly with consumers. Starting from a one-room office in Ambala, he built his brand, establishing Kesh King as one of the top hair oil brands following its launch in 2009.
Juneja achieved brand recognition without extensive marketing or festive offers, unlike many e-commerce companies.
Recently, Kesh King released a new television ad featuring Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali and actress Huma Qureshi. Emami's chairman, R.S. Agarwal, played a key role in finalizing this high-profile acquisition deal.
Now, Juneja is focusing on three of his other brands Dr. Ortho, Sachi Saheli, and Roop Mantra as he continues his journey in Ayurvedic wellness.
