How to Check Your Credit Score: Does It Drop with Multiple Inquiries?

  • Step 1: Go to the CIBIL website
  • Step 2: Fill in the given form which requires the necessary information like name, contact number, email address etc.
  • Step 3: Fill in additional details about yourself including your PAN number.
  • Step 4: Answer all the questions about your loans and credit cards correctly
  • These are the four main steps to follow to check your CIBIL score. However, the following are a continuation of the main steps listed above.
  • Step 5: You will be suggested various paid subscriptions (if you need more than one report in a year). If you only need a one-time free credit score and report, select ‘No thanks’ at the bottom of the page. This is the stage where your account will be created and a confirmation message will be displayed on the subsequent page.
  • Step 6: Using your login and password created in Step 2, you can log in to your account.
  • Step 7: Once you log in, all your personal information will be auto-filled by default (if the fields are not auto-filled, please provide the correct information). Please enter your contact number and click Submit.
  • Step 8: Once you submit the form, you will be able to see the dashboard that includes your CIBIL score. Also, you will get your credit report on the dashboard.
