Technopark-based startup HEX20 is set to make history by partnering with SpaceX for its Transporter-13 mission in February 2025. This will be a landmark achievement for both Kerala and HEX20, as they prepare to launch their maiden satellite, Nila, marking HEX20 as the first startup from Kerala to collaborate with SpaceX for a satellite launch.
Named after the inspiring Nila River and Technopark's own building where HEX20 is headquartered, Nila stands as a symbol of pride for all Malayalis.
To support the satellite's command and control, HEX20 is establishing a ground station at Marian Engineering College in Thiruvananthapuram, where they will also provide advanced technical training for promising talent. Additionally, HEX20 has signed MoUs with prominent educational institutions to foster innovation in satellite development, further strengthening Kerala’s growing space sector.
Collaborating with organizations such as ISRO, KSUM, and IN-SPACe, HEX20 has ambitious plans to launch a 50-kilogram satellite using ISRO's PSLV by the end of 2025.
