The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited have signed an agreement to set up an incubator to support manufacturing start-ups in Gujarat. It plans to set up a start-up incubator in Kadi, Gujarat.
The support provided by Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning Company to these start-ups will help nurture innovation and boost the manufacturing industry in the country.
The incubator aims to provide a strong platform for start-ups focussing on select manufacturing sectors such as technological advancements, sustainability and energy efficiency.
The MoU was signed on Tuesday (1/10/2024) under the leadership of Sumeet Jarangal, Director, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Sanjay Sudhakaran, Managing Director, India & South Asia Region, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited.
Sumeet Jarangal said that the Government of India is committed to boost the manufacturing sector through initiatives like Make in India and Production-Linked Incentive Scheme. Copy Paraphrase
