Baanhem Ventures, the creators of the reality show Startup Thamizha, has raised Rs 3.3 crore in funding from Kumar Vembu, founder of GoFrugal Technologies.

The investment was facilitated through Kumar Vembu's newly established firm, Mudhal Partners, and is aimed at supporting first-generation entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu.

Co-founded earlier this year by Hemachandran L. and Balachandar R., Baanhem Ventures focuses on empowering local innovators and job creators by providing financial assistance and mentorship.

Their flagship show, Startup Thamizha, has successfully garnered investment commitments exceeding Rs 200 crore for Tamil Nadu-based startups over its three successful seasons.
