News platform Way2News has raised $14 million in a round of funding. The Hyderabad-based venture plans to use the funds to expand operations. The company plans to use the funds to strengthen its presence in existing markets, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, and expand to other southern states such as Karnataka and Kerala.

Founded in 2015, Way2News provides national and international news along with short and hyperlocal news gathered from citizen journalists and stringer reporters. The company also leverages advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to provide real-time news in eight languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati.
