The collapse of Byju's, once the most popular online education platform in India, has shocked the Indian business world. Byju Raveendran recently stated that the company's current value is zero and that they have lost the confidence of their investors.
“There is no fraud. If there were fraud, the founders would have taken money out. Instead, we have reinvested our money back into the company,” said Byju Raveendran, founder of the edtech company Byju’s, during a press conference held on Thursday.
"Today, the value of Byju's is zero. We have lost the confidence of our investors," he acknowledged while discussing the difficult phase the company is currently facing.
Speaking to the media from his residence in Dubai, Raveendran also mentioned that investors were demanding a change in management.
He further added that since the end of 2021, they have been the only ones investing money into the company.
He also spoke about their strategy to explore growth opportunities and their entry into various markets.
