Apple's India sales rose to a record $9 billion in FY25, a 13% year-on-year increase. The main reason behind this is the high demand for iPhones and MacBooks. India, the world's second-largest smartphone market, is providing Apple with consistent growth with record revenue in the April-June quarter of 2025.
To enhance the customer experience, Apple is expanding its retail presence with new flagship stores in Bengaluru and Pune and upcoming outlets in Mumbai and Noida. The retail push is aimed at strengthening its brand in India's competitive and price-sensitive market.
India has also become a major manufacturing hub for Apple. The company started producing the iPhone 17 locally, achieving over 20% domestic value addition, and plans to shift all iPhone assembly for the US to India by 2026. iPhone exports from India increased by 76% to ₹1.5 lakh crore in FY25.
