Leading D2C consumer appliances startup Atomberg has filed a draft prospectus (DRHP) with market regulator SEBI for its initial public offering (IPO). The IPO involves fresh shares worth Rs 450 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 7.65 crore shares through seven existing investors. However, the company's founders Manoj Meena and Sibabrata Das are not selling their shares in the offering. Prominent investors like A91 Partners and Temasek Holdings are selling their shares through this opportunity.
The company plans to use Rs 90 crore of the proceeds from the new share sale to pay down debt, Rs 150 crore for marketing activities and Rs 100 crore for research and development (R&D) purposes. Atomberg, which started out by manufacturing energy-efficient BLDC fans, later expanded its product range to include mixer grinders and water purifiers. The company has also recently launched a joint venture with Tata Group's Voltas to manufacture AC compressors.
Atomberg is currently showing mixed financial performance. The company's total operating income rose 34.8 percent to Rs 1,293.8 crore in FY26. Although the company's EBITDA loss narrowed, its net loss increased 26.5 percent to Rs 149 crore from the previous year. This loss is reflected as part of the company's expansion of operations and large spending on research.
