Indian startups raise $310.72 million this week

This week, 36 Indian startups raised a total of $310.72 million, up 50% from the previous week. Raise Financial became a unicorn after raising $120 million, with blockchain startup KGeN leading the early-stage deals. Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR saw the most funding among AI, e-commerce, and fintech startups.

In other major updates, Groww acquired wealth tech firm Fisdom, while fintech firm Niro shut down. InsuranceDekho launched a $2 million ESOP program to reward employees. UK-based Graphcore announced a £1 billion investment in India to set up an AI campus and create new tech jobs.

Among the major launches, RBI introduced offline digital currency (CBDC), RAZORPAY brought AI-powered payments to India in partnership with NPCI and OpenAI. Prosus invested in ixigo, Zappfresh's IPO started strongly, and Pay10 signed Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma as global brand ambassadors.
