SoftBank, a leading global investment firm, raised ₹2,887.9 crore by selling 450 million shares of its stake in Lenskart. The shares were sold at an average price of ₹641.75. The shares were bought by prominent investors such as Societe Generale, Goldman Sachs and Motilal Oswal. This is SoftBank's second largest stake sale in Lenskart after its listing on the stock market.
The transaction comes at a time when Lenskart's shares are performing well in the market. The company's shares have already gained over 69 percent from the listing price of ₹390. This move is being fueled by strong financial performance. The company's profit doubled to ₹530 crore in FY26 and tripled in the first quarter of the new fiscal.
Lenskart is also looking to expand its international business along with its financial growth. As part of this, the company has announced new investments in countries such as Singapore, South Korea, and China. Meanwhile, Lenskart recently released news about a cyber attack that affected a vendor of its Singapore-based group company.
