Zomato's parent company Eternal's profit rises by 182%

Eternal, the parent company of Zomato and Blinkit, reported a net profit of Rs 92 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company's profit rose by a whopping 268% compared to the same period last year. The company also reported a 182% jump in operating income (Rs 20,211 crore).

Blinkit, a quick-commerce platform, currently tops the list in terms of revenue (Rs 15,664 crore), contributing 77.5% of Eternal's total operating income. Zomato's food delivery business also generated revenue of Rs 3,100 crore. Both the company's food delivery and quick-commerce divisions are now performing well.

Eternal founder Deepinder Goyal said that the company always prioritizes long-term business growth over short-term profits. He also pointed out that the low-cost services offered by competitors like Swiggy and Rapido have not been able to make much of an impact. In response, the company has decided to focus more on its fast food delivery system 'Bistro' to provide food to customers at a lower cost.
